JOB DESCRIPTION
Software Engineer will work with a small development team responsible for creating, expanding, and supporting the existing codebase using WPF/WCF.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop .NET WPF/WCF software used in the image acquisition and post-processing steps of biological fluorescent imaging workflows.
* Support existing code fixing defects looking for opportunities to refactor and optimize.
* Support tech debt discussions and implementation.
* Work with image acquisition systems including capture, manipulation, and optimization of image data.
* Help the team to improve the technical quality of their work through regular technical design and code reviews.
* Participate in an Agile environment contributing to the entire SDLC process.
Who You Are:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or redlated Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
* Minimum of 3 years of Software Development experience architecting and maintaining thin/thick clients and API's
* Strong technical contributor with a proven track record of using your expertise to help the team
* Extensive experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, Visual Studio
* Extensive experience with WCF, WPF, MVVM, MEF
* Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bellevue, WA
* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
Desired Characteristics:
* Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc)
* Experience working with version control systems (SVN, git, github, SourceTree, etc)
* Experience working with Microsoft VisualStudio development environment
* Takes the initiative to experiment with new software frameworks
* Demonstrates the ability to creatively find solutions
* Contributes to the team and works independently
